Govinda Luitel is one of the recipients of the NIMJN Investigative Reporting Fellowship. He is a freelance journalist based in Kathmandu. Govinda is interested in covering in-depth and investigative stories focused on human rights, good governance, poverty, climate change, disaster resilience, social justice, and humanitarian issues. His investigative and in-depth reporting has been published in media outlets including Himal Khabar, Shikshak Monthly, Nepali Times, Desh Sanchar, and myRepublica.

He was chosen based on his story pitch, time commitment, and investigative reporting experiences covering social issues. At NIMJN, Govinda will be reporting on the food security and consumer rights.
