Samir Ali Behena, from Nepalgunj, is one of the recipients of the NIMJN Human Trafficking Reporting Fellowship from Lumbini Province. This fellowship was open to the participants of the NIMJN’s Reporting on Human Trafficking and Human Rights using Multimedia Tools training held in Nepalgunj, for the journalists based in Lumbini Province, supported by the Australian Aid.

Samir has 7 years of experience in the journalism field, throughout which his main beat of interest has been on criminal activities such as corruption, violence, human trafficking and smuggling, and so on. Currently, he is pursuing his BBS from Mahendra Bahumukhi Campus in Nepalgunj. Through this fellowship with NIMJN, Samir looks forward to exploring the issues of human trafficking and human rights with his investigative reporting.
