Priyanka Hamal is an Editorial Intern at NIMJN. Priyanka, originally from Dolpa, is currently a third-year student at Sigma College, pursuing Journalism and Major English. Having worked as a media reporter under outlets such as Earth News TV and Nepal Ground Zero Media, she has more than two years of experience under her belt. As a journalist as well as a student of journalism, she is interested in covering beats related to foreign employment, women, children, and rural-centric stories. She is also currently learning 3D animation. Through this internship, Priyanka is interested in learning about story pitching, event and program planning, and exploring the world of investigative journalism under the mentorship of NIMJN’s journalist network. She is currently working on tracking the impact of the stories produced by NIMJN.
